This policy explains what Kalos collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Profile details: name, age, gender, bio, city, interests, and preferences.
- Photos you upload, including your lead photo used to generate your Kalos Score.
- Verification data: a selfie and, if you choose, a government photo ID, used to confirm you're real and 18+.
- Activity: swipes, matches, and messages.
- Device and usage data needed to run the service.
How we use your information
To create your profile, generate your Kalos Score, find and rank matches, verify members, provide messaging, and keep the service safe. We do not sell your personal data.
AI processing
Your photos are processed by AI to estimate attractiveness and, during verification, to detect AI-generated images and estimate age. This processing happens only with your consent. The Kalos Score is an estimate, not biometric data.
Verification data
Your selfie and any ID you submit for verification are used to assess authenticity and age. Your ID is stored privately — it is never shown on your profile or shared with other members.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your facial analysis data or your entire account at any time from Settings, and we will remove the associated data.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service (e.g. our AI and verification providers), to comply with the law, or to protect safety. Matches can see your public profile.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data from Settings, or by contacting us. You can hide your score, hide from discovery, or delete your account at any time.
Children
Kalos is for adults only. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the service, contact us immediately.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll notify you of significant changes within the app.
